Half Awake . . . or is it Half Asleep?

So I woke up, in the middle of the night again, to find Chris sitting up and looking at me. The first thing he said (that I recall clearly) was, “My hand was by your head.” as he reached across me to put his hand on the corner of the bed and near my face. “I was playing with your hair,” he said, “but you smacked my hand away.” I don’t remember that happening, but if he was playing with my hair, I knew he must have been asleep. Then he kept saying some nonsense about me moving my head. I thought he meant that I was too close to him, so I scooted over and asked if he was happy now. “ No, I mean seriously, move your head.” He had been lifting my pillow and wanted to look on the side where my head was apparently. After this incident, I was getting really annoyed and I said, “You are so going on by blog in the morning.” By then Chris started to proclaim that he was awake, as if I was doing him some sort of injustice putting him on my blog (since this blog is about him in the first place). Whenever he claims he is awake, I cannot believe him, because he says it no matter if he is or not. I knew that the only way to know for sure was to wait until morning and ask him what he remembered. Apparently he remembered some parts, so he figured he must have been half awake or something.

A few hours later, I had turned over from being on my side, to being on my back and found myself rubbing shoulders with Chris. He says, “Now do you see what I mean?” I told him that I only knew that he was really close to me, it was really hot, and I hadn’t moved toward him. Apparently he was completely asleep for that part because he doesn’t remember.
