Well, the move was great

We are all moved in and I am eager to start blogging here again, however, the last few weeks I have slept rather soundly. So much so, in fact that I can barely get out of bed in the morning.

However, there was one night when Chris leaned over and asked if I could feel that. That is the only bit of sleep talking that I can recall recently.

I think that I am going to stop blogging here. I have another blog that I keep up more frequently than this one, and it is easier to do because I don’t have to remember things from when I was sleeping (mostly). So, I think this will be my last post here. Thank you for being apart of this. I hope that you had some laughs, or at least some smiles. Au Revoir!

Pass the bag

Last night, Chris woke me up two different times due to his sleep talking activities. The first time, he sat up really fast and had his fists up like he was fighting someone (he refused to tell me why). However, right before he went back to sleep (me too) he asked me, “Aren’t you going to pass the bag?” This seemed familiar so I decided to go along with it for a bit. “Sure.” to which he replied, “Fine, I guess not.” I asked him why not and he said that it didn’t sound as if I knew what he was talking about.

Then a few hours later (I think) he woke me up again by sitting up really quick. When I told him to go back to sleep, he laid down facing the wall, but then explained to me that we couldn’t go out that way because it was blocked and that we had to go the other way. I was too tired at this point to play along and told him “Good night.” (silly hubby)

Moving on . . .

So I haven’t posted in a while. Sorry about that. I have been super busy with school that I haven’t had too much time to blog. However, there is good news, we have set up our video camera each night for about a week, so I will have to go through it and get some good stuff up here.

Earlier this week, I got a distinct feeling that I needed to start packing our things so that we could move. Of course, at the time, I had to finish my homework first (tests and projects from several classes due this week), so it wasn’t an immediate option. We don’t exactly know where we are moving yet, but we are going to see a possible candidate tomorrow. It has a washer/dryer and dishwasher and it looks really nice. We really hope it works out (we especially love the washer/dryer part – Laundromats stink! ). If this apartment does work out, then I probably won’t be posting here too much until after we move in (boxes unpacked and all). This makes me a little sad, but I will be kept really busy with packing, and I’ll still be in school and we are also planning a vacation in April, so I don’t think that we will physically moving until beginning to mid May. Can you say “CRAZY!” ?

Duck & Cover!

Last night, I mostly slept quite soundly, but there was one instance where I was awakened by Midnight Chatter. I heard Chris say “I think it is [bleeding] down there” (I later discovered that he really said “[blinking] down there”). He then proceeded to get out of bed to “check it out” I thought by this time he was awake, but apparently not fully. I covered my eyes because I thought he was going to turn on the light, but I guess he had other plans. The next thing I new, the bed was moving! Chris was actually moving the bed. I guess I can see some sort of logic there because our bed, particularly the side he is on, is up against the wall. I had to ask him several times why the heck he was moving our bed. It wasn’t until after he got back into bed that he said in sort of a laughing tone (I thought it was as if he was awake now and just realized what he did) “I thought there was a bomb.”

Wow. What do you say to that? I am pretty sure that I don’t know anyone who would want to kill us, especially in such a loud/terrorist sort of way, so needless to say, I wasn’t worried that there was a real bomb threat in my bedroom last night. Besides, according to many of the movies and television shows that I have seen, bombs make that annoying ticking noise (“What is that mysterious ticking noise?”) Winking smile

I have made a decision

I decided that Chris doesn’t sleep walk or talk often enough for me to post regularly, so I am going to include some of my bizarre dreams (sleep dreams) to the blog. I remember them more often than not (or at least parts of them) and I did call this blog “Adventures in Slumberland,” so I am not violating anything by doing that. I will label each of the different posts in case you are in the mood for one and not the other.

So for my first dream post, last night I was doing some finger spelling (American Sign Language) before I drifted off. Sure enough, I found myself finger spelling in my dream. I really don’t know what I was actually dreaming about, but I was finger spelling within this dream. I found that quite amusing.

Snake?

So my husband has been talking in his sleep a lot lately, but the last few times I woke up the next morning and couldn’t remember a thing that he said, only that it happened.

Last night however, was not the case Smile

I was awakened to my husband saying, “Don’t move.” I looked over and he was on his hands and knees “looking” at his pillow.

When I asked him what he was doing, he said there was a snake in the bed. I told him it was time to go back to bed. When he laid down, it was as close to me as he could get. When I asked him to scoot back over to his side, he said that there wasn’t enough room. I think that he still thought that there was a snake over there.

Sleepy conversations

Yet another night of talking from my husband. I decided that he likes the word “What?” Last night, however, he followed it with a “This? Then he sat up and stared at me for a second or two. I waited to see what he would do next, but he just sat there and stared. So, I asked him what he was doing.

{Chris} “Waiting for you to show me.” Of course he was.

{me} “Show you what?”

{Chris} “The thing that you said you would show me.”

{me} “I said that I was going to show you something? When?”

{Chris} “Just a second ago.”

{me} “No I didn’t.”

{Chris} “Fine.” He said this as if totally disappointed and put out that I wouldn’t show him. :(

{me} “Sorry honey, but it is bedtime and you need to go back to sleep.”

I actually wasn’t sure if I had said that right because can a person really go back to sleep when they are sleep walking/talking and they may have not awakened yet?
